Caregivers, family members, friends, and colleagues of stroke survivors and other people with disabilities seeking better lives: Welcome!
Does your loved one or friend have aphasia - speech and language problems - trouble with reading, writing, listening, talking?
Does your loved one or friend have hemiplegia - the right or left side is paralyzed - trouble with walking, balance, using one hand?
My husband Paul had a stroke many years ago, resulting in aphasia, a paralyzed right hand, weakness in his right leg, and foot-drop in his right ankle-foot. He was 36, and I was 32; we had been married for 4 years.
Special Employment News for Caregivers
We designed our website to motivate and empower caregivers to help the survivor - as well as yourself - to regain control of your life, return to the activities you love, take steps to become more independent and productive, improve communication and relationships, and achieve your goals.
As a caregiver for many years, I've learned the importance of following my own dreams and achieving self-fulfillment, while helping Paul with his goals.
Here you'll find FREE articles, newsletters, products and books, answers to your questions, video clip and much more.
After you've visited, please send me an email with your thoughts - about our website, about how you've used my tips, questions you have on overcoming specific challenges you face, or anything else you want to say.
